Great work with the blog. Giving the employee a 'voice' is important as they will feel that they are valued in the organization. Very detailed description. Regarding the WFH, as much as it gives some advantages like cost savings, higher productivity there are some disadvantages as well. Isolation, distraction at home, cyber security concerns are to name a few. So, organizations should have some kind of a mechanism to sort these matters. Especially when the connectivity with the society (work environment) is lost it will have an impact on the employee's psychology, if he/she is a person living alone at home.

By reading this article I clearly understood that, it's no longer enough to just provide a job. As someone who has been around in the corporate sector for some time now, I find these trends in employee relations to be essential for promoting a positive workplace environment. Take the trend of remote work for example. In my experience, implementing remote work policies has not only increased productivity but also improved work life balance for employees. For example, at my company, we transitioned to a hybrid model allowing employees to choose their work location, leading to a significant decrease in burnout rates.
ReplyDeleteDiversity and inclusion initiatives are also very important in creating a supportive workplace environment. A UK based aviation company I worked with just after graduation, introduced unconscious bias training for managers which led to a more inclusive culture where employees felt valued regardless of their background. This falls in line with theories such as Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, where a sense of belongingness and esteem are important for employee motivation and engagement. Hence, prioritising employee well being is extremely important in today's fast paced work culture.
